At this point, you’re probably excited and full of optimism and soon we will be out looking at homes together.
Finding the right home is a process & starts with the search we set up for you in MIBOR.
When you begin receiving the MIBOR emails, we need you to do the following:
- Check your email daily and review all of the properties we’ve sent you that day. Mark properties you want to see as Interested (Heart) or a Possibility (Light bulb). Properties you definitely don’t like, please discard (Trash) . If you have any questions about a particular property, write those questions in the Comments field for that property in your portal. We monitor those sections and will get back to you.
- If there is a home you love and want to see asap, it's always best to shoot us a quick email or text us rather than waiting for us to contact you. Please let us know when you’re available and what you want to see so that we can set up the showing asap. The more flexible you can be, the better so that we can get in and determine if it is a good option as quickly as possible.
- Once we know when you’re available, we’ll set up the showing(s) and confirm timing with you.
- Remember to wear comfortable slip on shoes for showings as we’ll generally need to take them on and off at each property.
- If you have specific questions about a home prior to our meeting, please let us know and we will do our best to get answers beforehand.
While you’re looking at the MIBOR listings each day, we will also be networking with our contacts to find you homes before they go on the market. At this point, there should be no need for you to continue to look on other sites such as Zillow & Trulia because all of those properties should be showing up in your search. If one isn’t for some reason, let us know so we can adjust any parameters we may have set for you. If time allows, it is also a great idea to drive by the listing before our scheduled showing to determine if you like the location and community before scheduling an appointment.
Remember, the location and the community is a constant so it is critical you have spent time determining your priorities in these areas before going out to preview homes. If a specific school district is a requirement or you will only live in a community with amenities, this is something we need to factor into your search so that we aren't spending time visiting homes that ultimately won't meet your needs.
